Samarkand Agricultural InstituteSamarkand Agricultural Institute was founded in 1929 and now it is considered to be one of the leading educational establishments in agricultural branch in Central Asia. The main activities related to higher education and fundamental and applied research in 3 levels including bachelor, master and PhD (aspirantura) and research in postdoctoral level. The 4 faculties of the Institute are training specialists on 17 directions. The main objective of the educational and scientific work of the institute is the sustainable development of agriculture, resource saving and environmentally friendly efficient of agricultural technologies. The Institute has close relations and cooperation with famous educational establishments like: by USDA’s FEP program, Wageningen University (the Netherlands) by TEMPUS project and many others.
