Samarkand State Architectural and Civil Engineering Institute

Samarkand State Architectural and Civil Engineering Institute is the second largest civil engineering institution in Uzbekistan. It’s “Water Supply, Wastewater and Water Resources Protection” Department with the 10 PhD fellows and one full Dr. Professor has experience of partnership in many international projects. Different departments of the SSACEI were part of projects funded by TEMPUS, JICA, UNESCO, Fulbright, CRDF and others, and faculty members and staff were cooperating with leading international universities and companies. They regularly attended World Water Weeks in Stockholm and other water and environmental conferences and workshops organised by UNESCO, UNDP, ENEP and WWF. In this area the departments has considerable both research, education and practical applied experience. The faculty and researchers has a strong interest and expertise in the Aral Sea disaster and it’s faster solutions.
